The potential benefits of Delpro™ Capsules, a dietary supplement

Del-Immune V® provides immediate immune system support to help support a healthier immune system.

As background information, Del-Immune V® is produced from a bacteria known as lactobacillus or a lactic acid producing bacteria. These lactobacillus have an extremely important function in our intestine. The main role of lactic acid bacteria is the regulation, development, and processing of the immune system throughout life.

The natural lactobacillus found in our intestines supply biochemical substances that are natural immune system regulators. When the immune system is attacked by foreign substances, for example, viruses, bacteria, pollution, allergens, or stress, the biochemical substances found in the lactobacillus typically initiate the response of the immune system. (Perdigon, Fuller, Raya, 2001)

When a virus or bacteria attack us the immune system starts to respond by increasing the level of certain enzymes called lysozymes. Interestingly, the enzymes then begin to attack the natural lactobacillus located in our intestine. The enzymes work to digest the cell wall of the lactobacillus in the intestine, creating cell wall pieces, or what we call “cell wall fragments.”

The newly created cell wall fragments then launch the work of the immune system. Highly specific amino acids (Bahr & Chedid, 1986) known as interferons (Meydani and Woel-Kyu Ha, 2000) and interleukins are stimulated. These are like superhighways that effect many parts of the immune system.

The result is the production of phagocytes, the white cells that actually eat up foreign invaders: NK, or natural killer cells, that are the primary killers of viruses; the T cells, which act like an infantry unit to kill the enemy on the front lines; and B cells that function like artillery that fires round after round of antibodies at the foreign invaders.
